darts musicians offer teacher cpd for school singing
A series of free workshops are taking place to inspire Doncaster primary school teachers to put singing at the heart of their school.
These enjoyable Singing Champions workshops, which are led by Doncaster Music Education Hub, provide Doncaster teachers with an exciting opportunity to collaborate with professional musicians, build confidence in their teaching, and create high-quality singing experiences for their pupils.
The expert musicians delivering the workshops include Janet Wood, a singer-songwriter with 40 years’ experience in choir leadership; and Alice Needham, a talented performer and member of critically acclaimed band The Moods.
These practical sessions will give teachers first-hand experience of the enormous benefits singing brings, and invigorate them to share their love of singing with pupils.
Singing Champions will also give teachers free access to excellent resources, tools and techniques to engage pupils in singing.
Musician Janet Wood said:
At the end of a busy school day, we want to help primary school teachers relax and have fun.
Singing Champions is a great way to do just that. We’re looking forward to welcoming teachers for these free continuing professional development workshops.
Singing Champions will be back once the guidance on lockdown as a result of the coronavirus pandemic has changed.
