sing out 2022
Find out more about Sing Out 2022!
Doncaster Music Education Hub is once again putting on a massed sing for primary schools at The Dome, in which school choirs will get the opportunity to perform together with a live band.
The dates of the performances are Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd June 2022.
There will be a rehearsal on the day from 3pm and the performance will begin at 7pm. The performance will finish around 8.30pm. Pupils will be required to bring a drink and packed tea. Pupils will remain at The Dome from 3pm – 8.30pm. Staff will need to supervise their own pupils at all times and to wear identification to aid The Dome security staff.
Song music, lyrics and mp3 files will be sent out via dropbox to schools who are interested in taking part and will also be on our website. These resources will be available before the Easter break. There will also be a CPD session for teachers to learn the songs and choreography, which will take place on Wednesday 20th April, 4pm – 5.30pm at The Point, 16 South Parade, Doncaster, DN1 2DR.
The songs will be a mixture of modern pop songs and a varied range of songs including new compositions created with Doncaster Primary Schools. The words to the songs will need to be memorised for the performance, although some of the songs will be well-known to pupils already so that this is not an onerous task!

We are determined to minimise costs to schools, so the cost of the event is heavily subsidised by Doncaster Music Education Hub. The cost is a fee of £30 per school, however many pupils come. We are not limiting the size of choirs, but there may need to be a first-come, first-served system for places if we are over-subscribed.
We will continue to monitor government guidelines around singing events, and will ensure that Sing Out follows the current guidance at the time of the event.
