Creative Moves

Supporting adults affected by chronic pain and mental health challenges

An adult with long blonde hair and glasses is seated in a wheelchair opposite an adult with long brown hair and brown beard, seated in a chair. Both adults are reaching towards each other, smiling, and touching one finger of opposite hands together.

Are you an adult living in Doncaster who is currently off work, or who has recently taken time away from work due to mental health challenges, chronic pain or musculoskeletal conditions such as arthritis, back or neck pain, or fibromyalgia?

When we are living with pain or feeling low, we can sometimes lose confidence in ourselves and our bodies. The demands of work and everyday life can make taking time for ourselves feel impossible.

Creative Moves offers a free weekly opportunity to connect with others in a similar situation, while exploring gentle movement and relaxation techniques that support wellbeing and help manage symptoms.

Each session takes inspiration from pictures, poems, music and other creative prompts to encourage conversation, social connection, and gentle movement in a safe and supportive environment.

We meet you where you’re at and adapt activities to suit your needs. Many people find that, after attending a number of sessions, they feel more confidence, see improvements in their mood and develop new friendships and support networks.

You actually feel safe here and like you can do anything.
