All Aboard Music Network
Friendly, relaxed learning space for musicians, music leaders and educators

The All Aboard Music Network is a friendly, relaxed space for musicians, music leaders and educators to come together to share, learn and develop their skills in music-making with Disabled children and young people.
Each session will look at different elements and themes and will be hosted by a team of experienced musicians, educators and creatives who can offer insight, guidance and practical tips. There will be guest talks from the panel, as well as a space for discussions, time to ask questions and a chance to seek advice from the group.
This network is for people at all stages of their development, so no prior experience is necessary, just a passion for making music accessible to all!
Social, Emotional and Mental Health in the music classroom
Tuesday 27th February 2024 – 4.15pm – 5.30pm, Zoom
In this workshop Verity Watts will explore the worlds of children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties. She will set out a theoretical framework, whilst encouraging a mindset of curiosity around each child and young person as a unique individual. We will also explore understanding of our nervous system and how to self regulate in order to co-regulate with the children and young people. Verity will offer practical regulation strategies for staff and for staff to use with pupils as well as examples from her lived experience of working with children and young people from 12 years in special education, her work in psychotherapy, somatic experiencing, mindfulness and yoga.
